John E. Jacobson, DC

Dr. John Jacobson is an Austin native who began his medical career serving in the U.S. Army as a Medic. While stationed in the United States and Europe, he received extensive training in emergency care, dermatology, surgery, and physical examination. For his dedication and performance, Dr. Jacobson was honored as the Soldier of the Year for the 67th Combat Support Hospital in 1995.

After completing his service, Dr. Jacobson earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Houston, graduating with Honors. His passion for helping others, combined with his deep understanding of the human body and the influence of an excellent mentor (Dr. Mark Hendry, D.C.), inspired him to pursue a Doctor of Chiropractic degree.

Dr. Jacobson completed his chiropractic education at the prestigious Texas Chiropractic College, graduating with Honors. In addition to his chiropractic training, he has received advanced education in several treatment techniques, including:

Dr. Jacobson uses the least force necessary to perform gentle, effective chiropractic adjustments. He incorporates deep tissue massage and therapeutic exercise to improve muscle conditioning and support long-term results.

His clinical philosophy centers on empowering patients with the knowledge and tools to support their own healing. He may recommend exercises, stretching routines, or nutritional changes to help you reach your health goals efficiently and sustainably.

Dr. Jacobson also has an extensive sports background. Beginning competitive soccer at age 8, he eventually played on the U.S. Army Soccer Team in both the United States and Europe. He has been an active cyclist for more than five years, completing events such as the MS150, Hotter’N Hell 100, and numerous charity rides. He enjoys golf, running, water sports, and yoga—and he’s always up for a good fitness challenge. He is proud to support and sponsor local athletic events.
